Ballyhale Shamrocks take Four in a Row with Late Win
On the Field of Dreams in Nowlan Park holders Ballyhale Shamrocks met James Stephens in a replay of the 2008 Final. The Unique occasion featured a pleotra of County Stars that included each of the Four in a Row All Ireland winning captains Jackie Tyrrell, Henry Shefflin, James ‘Cha’ Fitzpatrick and Michael Fennelly. In a titanic finish three late points by Henry Shefflin, TJ Reid and Colin Fennelly gave the Shamrocks the title on a 1-14 to 1-11 scoreline after Eoin Larkin and David Walton had tied the scores at 1-11 each with three minutes to go.
