Kilkenny secured the BGE Leinster U-20 title with a 1-17 to 0-18 win over Wexford in Wexford Park on Wednesday night. There was little beween both teams in the opening period with Kilkenny heading to the dressing room with a two point lead at half time. On the restart Kilkenny got that lead to three points at various stages throughout the half but found it difficult to extend it much further. Wexford kept the pressure on right up until the final whistle but it was to be Kilkenny's night and title.
Kilkenny now await the Munster runners up in the All-Ireland semi-final on the August Bank Holiday weekend, while Wexford must take on the Munster winners on the same weekend.

The Kilkenny U-20's secured a BGE Leinster Final berth on Thursday night with a 1-19 to 1-15 win over Galway in Tullamore. DJ Carey's men will now face Wexford on Wednesday July 17th in the final. Both teams were evenly matched in the opening period but a seven point run in the second quarter proved crucial for Kilkenny. Kilkenny started brightly in the second half and an Eoin Cody goal cemented the lead for Kilkenny on 43 minutes. Galway had their own run in the closing stages, draw a great save from golakeeper Dean Mason but it was not enough to stop Kilkenny securing the win.

The Kilkenny U-20 team that will face Laois in the Leinster Quarter Final on Monday night in O'Moore Park, Portlaoise has been named. Click below for full details.
The game has a throw-in time of 7.30pm.
Kilkenny's U-21 campaign came to a halt following the round 1 encounter with Galway. Scores were hard to come by for both sides in the opening quarter but the game was to open up after that with Kilkenny going in at the break only two points down on a scoreline which read 0-9 to 1-8. Following half-time Galway found the goal on three occassions, a big deciding factor in what was in the end a close game. Kilkenny came close on a number of occasions to grabbing a badly needed goal of their own but that goal was to only arrive in injury time courtesy of J Donnelly. The final score 1-17 to 3-13 means Galway progress to the Leinster Final for 2018.
