This Saturday evening in Nowlan Park Railyard and Mullinavat will contest the 2017 J J Kavanagh and Sons Senior Football Final. Throw in at Nowlan Park is at 6pm.
Railyard are attempting to achieve the four in a row of championships but are likely to face stiff opposition from a Mullinavat side that contributed several members to the Kilkenny Junior team which won the British Inter County Championship earlier in the summer.
Mullinavat will have had the more competitive run into the final with wins over Clara (after repaly) and Kilmoganny. Railyard, meanwhile, had just the one game - a comprehensive win over O'Loughlin Gaels. Mullinavat also enter the final as league champions having come through the campaign undefeated.
Admission to the game is €10 for adults and €5 for pensioners/students.
