Senior, Intermediate, Junior Finalists almost decided

St Canice's Credit Union Senior Hurling Final

Bennettsbridge have claimed the first spot in the 2018 senior final thanks to a five point win over Clara in Nowlan Park on Sunday.   The second berth will be filled on Sunday next (Oct 21st) when Erin's Own fresh from their win over James Stephens on Saturday face Ballyhale Shamrocks, that game has a throw-in time of 3-45pm in Nowlan Park.  The senior final will be played on Sunday Oct 28th at 3pm.

Tickets for the JJ Kavanagh & Sons Junior Final and the St Canice’s Credit Union S/F on Sunday next are on sale now at all usual Centra and Supervalu outlets.

Michael Lyng Motors Hyundai Intermediate Hurling Final

Graigue-Ballycallan and their near neighbours Tullaroan will face off in the intermediate final which is also fixed for Nowlan Park on Oct 28th, throw-in time 1pm.   Graigue-Ballycallan overcame Tullogher Rosbercon on Saturday in Nowlan Park by three points, the scoreboard reading 0-14 to 0-11 at the full time whistle. Sunday saw Tullaroan overcome St Lachtain's, in a game that ebbed and flowed for long periods, Tullaroan eventually did enough to claim the second intermediate spot despite conceding a penatly in the final quarter which St Lachtain's couldn't capitalise on.   

JJ Kavanagh & Sons Junior Final

Piltown and Dunnamaggin will contest the junior final on Sunday next at 1-45pm in Nowlan Park.   Both teams will be pulling out all the stops between now and next Sunday to secure the right the play in the Intermediate grade next year.

Club Semi-Finals Tickets - On Sale Now

Tickets for this Sunday's St Canice's Credit Union Senior S/F between Clara and Bennettsbridge and the Michael Lyng Motors Hyundai Intermediate S/F between St Lachtain's and Tullaroan are on sale at usual Centra and Supervalu outlets, Admission €15, Students/OAP's €10.  The Intermediate game has a throw-in of 2pm, while the Senior game has a throw-in of 4pm.

In the St Canice's Credit Union Senior Hurling Championship the Quarter-Final replay between Erins Own and James Stephens will take place in Ballyragget next Saturday at 2pm, Ballyhale await the victors in the Semi-Final.   Sunday sees Bennettsbridge and Clara face off in the first of the Semi-Finals, the winner will claim a coveted County Final place.   The Senior relegation final between Carrickshock and Danesfort willl also take place next Saturday in John Lockes Park at 2pm while the Intermediate relegation final between Young Ireland’s and Mooncoin will take place in Ballyhale also on Saturday at 2pm.  

The draw for the Semi-Finals of the Michael Lyng Motors Intermediate Hurling Championship Semi-Finals took place on Sunday in Nowlan Park and it sees Tullogher Rosbercon Vs Graigue Ballycallan which has been fixed for Nowlan Park on Saturday at 4.15pm and on Sunday St Lachtains vs Tullaroan takes place in Nowlan Park at 2pm.   For a full list of next weekends fixtures click on the links below.

Big Weekend of Local Action

This Saturday sees two replays take place with one at Senior level between Erin's Own and Carrickshock and one at Intermediate level between St Martin's and Glenmore.  These games have a throw-in time of 2pm and 4pm respectively, with opponents awaiting the victors in both.  Sunday sees a busy day of action with three Senior games up for decision, the first game has a throw-in of 12pm in Danesfort between O'Loughlin's and Clara, the second game of the day throws-in at 2pm in Thomastown between Bennettsbridge and Mullinavat, the third between Ballyhale and Dicksboro in Callan starts at 4pm.   

The draw for the semi-finals of the St Canice's Credit Union Senior Hurling Championship will take place directly after the Ballyhale and Dicksboro in Callan on Sunday.

Busy Weekend of Local Action

This weekend sees the 4th Round of the St Canice's Credit Union Senior Hurling League and the 4th Round of the Michael Lyng Motors Intermediate Hurling League take place.   The 5th Round of the JJ Kavanagh and Sons Junior League also takes place.   With the last round of the junior and the last two remains rounds of the senior and intermediate championships taking place, the fight for points and places in the table's is gathering pace.

This Sunday in Nowlan Park also sees the Countrystyle Foods Junior D Final between Mooncoin and Clara at 11.30am and the Iverk Produce C Final between Glenmore and Galmoy at 1pm.

Please note the Cloneen Vs Slieverue Junior game due to be played on Saturday has been postponed.
