Three goals in added time added even more excitement to an already lively encounter in Wexford today with Richie Mulrooney's minor charges running out one point victors over Wexford in the second round of the Leinster Championship. Wexford led for a large part of the game but a solid Kilkenny performace was rewarded in the final quarter when they took the lead, one they were not to loose, the final score 3-13 to 2-15. It's two wins from two so far in the Championship and Offaly await next Saturday in Nowlan Park at 4.45pm, followed by the meeting of Kilkenny and Dublin in the first round of the Leinster Senior Championship at 7pm.

The Kilkenny minors claimed a one point victory over Dublin in the first round of the Electric Ireland Leinster Minor Championship. In blustery conditions, Kilkenny started well leading 0-6 to 0-3 on 20 minutes, but two goals in the 20th and 22nd minutes meant Dublin had a 4 point lead at HT, the score 2-5 to 0-7. Dublin continued the second half in front until the 54th minute when Kilkenny drew level and they finally reclaimed the lead in the 58th minute to close out a tight and tough contest. Its Wexford next weekend in Bellefield, Enniscorthy on Saturday at 2pm.

The Kilkenny minors lost to Galway in the All-Ireland Minor Hurling Final on a scoreline of 0-21 to 0-14. Kilkenny started the stronger and led at half time by a point, the score 0-10 to 0-9. The second half saw Galway grab a hold of the game and a run of unanswered points in the closing quarter ensured Galway would claim the minor title for 2018.
