Impressive Dublin Through to Leinster Final

Sunday, 30 June 2013 at 9AM

After the drawn game the big question for many was could Dublin sustain the same performance for a second week running. Right from the start the answer was quite clear as Anthony Daly's Dubs continued where they left off and put a brave Kilkenny side under enormous pressure right throughout the field. Played in ideal conditions this game was worthy of an All Ireland Final. Dublin finished the first half 4 points to the good (0-11 to 0-7) and should have been further ahead as they were guilty of some misses from frees nearing half time. By that stage Kilkenny had replaced both Michael Rice and Cillian Buckley.  But a Danny Sutcliffe goal in the 53rd minute, following an amazing goal line clearance from Lester Ryan, was to prove the difference between the sides. Dublin now move on to play Galway in the Leinster Final next Sunday while Kilkenny will host Tipperary in a massive game in Nowlan Park next Saturday.
