Croke Park to be turned into COVID-19 testing centre - Dublin LiveThe GAA released an update on Thursday about their position in relation to current Covid-19 restrictions. Jubilee Booklet - 1970

On County Final day 2019 the Fenians team of 1970 were honoured in UPMC Nolwan Park at half time during the St Canice's Credit Union Senior Hurling final.  Sixteen of that famous team 1970's team were introduced onto the pitch at half-time and attending a function hosted by the SpringHill Hotel later that night.  It was a wonderful day for all concerned. 'Toll' charges in Thomastown

Well done to the Doherty and Ryan families from Thomastown who came up with a novel yet rewarding idea during the current lockdown, all in the name of charity.  On noticing their local laneway was busy with walkers they decided to impose a 'toll' for  walkers and they donated the proceeds to St Columba's Hospital, Thomastown.  Well done folks and it is yet again a wonderful example of some of the great initatives people have deployed to help their community in these unusal times.
