The Launch of the Kilkenny GAA Health and Wellbeing programme dealing with "Suicide and Depression Awareness in your Club" will take place on Monday evening next 28th April in the Springhill Hotel at 8.30pm. This important event is the first in a series of presentations under the rollout of the GAA's National Health and Wellbeing Programme.

The 16th Annual Golf Classic will take place on Friday 23rd May 2014 at City West Golf Resort, Saggart. The Golf Classic is the main source of revenue for the Dublin Branch of the Supporters Club and to date they have raised about €200,000. They sincerely thank all who have supported them in the past. The Dublin branch make a significant contribution in looking after the cost of Kilkenny teams playing particularly in Croke Park. On the 5th of May 2014 a very special GAA football match will take place in O'Moore Park, Portlaoise. This game is different to any other in that the teams will be made up of players who themselves have received treatment for cancer. We have received letters from players from all over the Country who want to take part in this match and they all mention how the support they received from their team mates and their ambition to get back to playing on their teams again has helped them through. With the Senior Hurling team safely through to the Allianz League Final on May 4th this coming weekend will see a host of activity on the local playing fields in Kilkenny. Up first will be the Minors first outing in the Electric Ireland Leinster Hurling Championship when they take on Dublin in Nowlan Park at 3pm. The two J J Kavanagh & Son Senior Football Semi-Finals are also down for decision. Mooncoin take on champions Muckalee in Ballyhale on Saturday evening at 6.30pm whilst on Sunday at 2pm in Palmerstown Railyard will play Kilmoganny. Then on Sunday the Kilkenny Under 14 Féile Competition takes place. The Paddy Grace Tier A competition takes place in St John's Park, Thomastown, Bennettsbridge and Hugginstown with the first game in each venue at 2.30. The Tier B groups will be played on Sunday morning in Canon Kearns Park and Ballyhale with the first game in each venue at 10am. The Semi-Finals and Finals are scheduled for Monday 5th May.
