O'Loughlin Gaels 2-13 Rower Inistioge 0-16
Ballyhale Shamrocks 0-19 Clara 0-13
O'Loughlin Gaels and Ballyhale Shamrocks will contest the St Canices Credit Union Senior Final on Sunday 30th October. Two goals, somewhat against the run of play, just before half time put O'Loughlin Gaels in a strong position having faced the strong wind in the first half. But a battling second haf performance from the Rower side put it up to the city side. However they had enough in reserve to see out the win.
In the second game there was little between the sides as the game progressed. In the finish, a couple of well worked Shamrocks points proved the difference.
In many people's opinion in Nowlan Park it was the retired county players notably Martin Comerford and Brian Hogan for O'Loughlin Gaels and Henry Shefflin for Shamrocks who were the most influential players on view. There is no doubt that a mouth watering final is now in prospect. Watch out for match details here.
