With just one week to go, the eagerly awaited Kilkenny Senior Hurlers "Cats on the Catwalk" Fashion Show promises to be a great night's entertainment. Among the participants will be Jackie Tyrrell, Lester Ryan, Paul Murphy, Conor Fogarty, Kieran Joyce, Michael Fennelly, Cillian Buckley, Padraig Walsh and Brian Kennedy. And David Herity, Tommy Walsh and Aidan Fogarty, who all announced their retirement in recent days, will all feature. In fact Tommy will be joined by his son Finn and together with Richie Power and his son Ruairi this element of the show is bound to be a real crowd pleaser.

Good Counsel College's junior hurlers have progressed to the Masita All-Ireland Final having had a successful campaign in the Leinster Colleges 'A' Hurling Championship. Managed by Declan Wall (Mullinavat) and Páraic Cullen (Clongeen), a Good Counsel team with a strong blend of Wexford and Kilkenny talent defeated Kilkenny C.B.S., Mountrath C.S., and Borris V.E.C. to finish top of their group with some impressive displays. They now go on to face Midleton CBS, Cork in the final this Saturday, November 29th at 2pm in the WIT Sports Campus at Carriganore. All support would be greatly welcomed and encouraged as they aim to bring back the first All-Ireland 'A' hurling title to their prestigious sporting school. Aidan(32) joined the Kilkenny Senior panel in 2003 and has 8 All Ireland Senior medals, 9 Leinster Senior medals, 8 National Hurling League medals and 5 Walsh Cup medals.

Brian Hogan is the latest Kilkenny player to announce his retirement from Inter County Hurling.
Brian(33) joined the Kilkenny panel in 2004 and captained the side to All Ireland victory in 2011. Brian has 7 All Ireland Senior medals, 8 Leinster Senior medals, 6 National League medals and 4 Walsh Cup medals. He was an All Star in 2011 and 2012.
Kilkenny GAA wishes to acknowledge the tremendous contribution Brian has made to Kilkenny hurling over the past 11 years. We wish Brian and his family all the very best in his retirement from inter county fare.

Following on last week's announcement by Tommy Walsh, Dunnamaggin's David Herity this week announced his retirement from Inter County hurling. David will continue to play for his club.
David joined the Kilkenny Senior Panel in 2008 and has 5 All Ireland Senior medals, 5 Leinster senior medals, 5 National Hurling medals and 3 Walsh Cups.

This Sunday was another great day for Kilkenny clubs with pride of place going to Mullinavat who are now Leinster Intermediate Champions following their narrow win over Kiltale of Meath in Navan on a 1-13 to 0-13 scoreline. Mullinavat can now look forward to a trip to Ruislip in London to take on Kilburn Gaels on the weekend of 6th/7th December in the All Ireland Quarter-Final.
On that same weekend Ballyhale Shamrocks will play Kilcormac Killoughey in the Leinster Final in Portlaoise. Ballyhale took their county final form into the Leinster Semi-Final in Parnell Park on Sunday when they had a comfortable 2-15 to 0-12 win over Dublin champions Kilmacud Crokes. In the Junior championship Bennettsbridge booked their final place with a comprehensive 1-19 to 0-11 win over Wexford champions Crossabeg Ballymurn in Enniscorthy.
