The St Canice's Credit Union Senior Hurling league, the Michael Lyng Motors Hurling league and the JJ Kavanagh & Sons Hurling league make a welcome return for the third round of 2019. Most Senior and Intermediate games will be played on Tuesday and Wednesday night next. The one exception was the Fenians Vs Carrickchock game which was played on Saturday evening with the Fenians claiming the two points on offer.
Kilkenny have claimed a second victory in this years Leinster Championship with a 1-14 to 3-22 win over Carlow in Netwatch Cullen Park on Sunday. Kilkenny took the lead early on and lead from start to finish. A flurry of Carlow scores in the third quarter wasn't enough and Kilkenny retained their composure to run out winners. The win puts Kilkenny on four points after two games. Next up will be Galway in Nowlan Park on June 9th, followed by Wexford away in Wexford Park on July 15th.

The thrid round of the Celtic Challenge was played on Wednesday evening with Kilkenny Kilkenny Amber running out 3-11 to 2-15 winners over Tipperary Gold in Cashel, while Kilkenny Black had no such luck against East Cork, loosing on a scoreline of 1-8 to 2-18 in Leamybrien.
Both teams are out again on Wednesday May 22nd with Kilkenny Amber taking on East Cork in Leamybrien at 7.30pm while Kilkenny Black will take on Waterford in WIT Carriganore also at 7.30pm.read more

Kilkenny's minor footballers had their third game of 2019 on Tuesday evening last against Kildare in Nowlan Park. The early exchanges were brisk with very little between the teams at half-time, the score 0-3 to Kilkenny 1-5 to Kildare. The second half proved to be a similar affair with some excellent moves on both sides but ultimately Kildare proved too strong running out 0-5 to 1-12 winners.
