O\’Loughlins and John Lockes reach AIB Leinster Club Finals

Kilkenny will have three teams in action in Leinster club finals after both O\’Loughlin Gaels and John Lockes joined Dicksboro in their respective provincial finals. The Callan team beat Adamstown of Wexford by the narrowest of margins winning by 0-11 to 0-10. They will now meet Drumcullen of Offaly in the final on the 29th October. Spectators in Nowlan Park yesterday were treated to a roller coaster of a game which went to extra time. The Kilkenny champions O\’Loughlin Gaels eventually came through thanks to a surge in the second half of extra time when four unanswered points from Mark Bergin (2), Martin Comerford and Brian Dowling gave their side a 1-21 to 3-11 victory. O\’Loughlins will now meet Oulart the Ballagh in the Leinster final also on Sunday 29th November with the venue to be confirmed. On the football front Kilkenny  senior champions,Muckalee lost out to Naomh Eoin of Carlow  in their AIB Leinster Club football clash by 0-10 to 0-8 after putting up a very strong performance.
