The Kilkenny team to play Offaly in the Allianz Hurling League in Nowlan Park on Sunday shows seven changes in personnel and a number of interesting positional switches from the side which drew with Dublin in Kilkenny’s last game. Into the team come P.J. Ryan, Paul Murpy,Jackie Tyrrell, Richie Doyle, T. J. Reid, James ‘Cha’ Fitzpatrick and Michael Rice. Jackie Tyrrell, Michael Rice and ‘Cha’ all return from injury. The most interesting positional change is the move of team captain Brian Hogan to full back and John Dalton to centre bac. It will be a League debut for Richie Doyle of Barrow Rangers. Richie was centre back on the Kilkenny All Ireland minor winning team in 2008 and played on the Kilkenny Under 21 team last year. The Kilkenny team is as follows…..
