Kilkenny Minors Survive Westmeath Challenge

Kilkenny Minor Hurlers escaped from Cusack Park In Mullingar with a narrow win over Westmath in the Lenster Championship semi-final. Leading by nine points Kilkenny looked comfortable at the interval thanks to goals from Kevin Kelly and Johnny Hayes but Westmeath dominated much of the second half and drew level thanks to a Niall O’Brien goal with seven minutes remaining. An inspirational point from Kelly followed by a point from substitute Robert Moran helped Kilkenny to survive and reach the Leinster semi-final.
