St. Canice’s Credit Union – Senior Hurling Semi-Finals:

Two exciting games are in prospect on Sunday when James Stephens meet St. Martins and Ballyhale Shamrocks play O’Loughlin Gaels in the St. Canice’s Credit Union senior hurling semi-finals. The meeting of All Ireland Club finalists O’Loughlins with many people’s favorites to win the championship, Shamrocks, is an interesting one. The two sides met at the semi-final stage last year with the city side emerging victorious. However a full strength Ballyhale team will be striving to reverse that result this time around. Meanwhile James Stephens and St. Martin’s, both of whom won their quarter finals by big margins, will be seeking the other final place. James Stephens had a convincing League campaign and reached the League final. Backboned by county stars Jackie Tyrrell and Eoin Larkin they will start favourites but St. Martin’s have a well balanced team and will relish this opportunity to reach the county final.

Tickets for Sunday’s game will be on sale outside Nowlan Park from 1pm costing €15, with concessions on designated stiles for €10 with appropriate ID.
