Muckalee retained the J.J. Kavanagh & Sons Kilkenny Senior Football title in wet and windy Ballyragget last night (Wednesday) when they defeated Kilmoganny side on a scoreline of 0-6 to 0-4. Playing with the elements in the first half Muckalee led by five points to no score at the interval thanks to some good shooting, in particular from from John Maher and Colin Mc Grath. Kilmoganny enjoyed the benefit of the strong breeze after the break and reduced the deficit but could not draw level despite holding the defending champions to a single score in the second half. Muckalee now meet St. Andrews of Carlow in Dr. Cullen Park, Carlow at 1pm on the 6th November in the Leinster Intermediate Club Football Championship.
