The finals of the J.J. Kavanagh and Sons A & B Under 21 county hurling finals will take place in Nowlan Park on Sunday next. In the A Final, which starts at 12.30pm, last year’s winners Mooncoin defend their title against Northern Championship winners, St. Patrick’s Ballyragget. St. Pat’s are seeking to round off a very successful season by adding the under 21 title to the County and Leinster Junior titles already won but Mooncoin were impressive in winning the Southern title and will not surrender their county title easily. The B final which is scheduled for 2pm will see Piltown take on Emeralds of Urlingford. Emeralds will need a better start than the one they experienced in the Northern final if they are to defeat a determined Piltown side. Admission is €5.
