Kilkenny meet neighbours Waterford in the 2nd round of the 2012 Allianz Hurling League in Walsh Park on Sunday 11th March at 2.30pm. Supporters are advised to allow plenty of time to get to the ground as a large crowd is expected. Kilkenny will be seeking to add to the successful start they made to this League campaign against Tipperary while Waterford will hope to recover from their first round loss to Cork. The sides last meeting was in the 2011 All Ireland semi-final in Croke Park, a game Kilkenny won by 2-19 to Waterford’s 1-16 while the 2011 League meeting between the two in Nowlan Park saw Kilkenny win by 2-16 to Waterford’s 1-13. The last time the south east neighbours met in Walsh Park Waterford won by four points on 1st March 2009 by 2-17 to 1-16. The Kilkenny team will be announced tonight (Friday) after 9pm.
