and the CBS led for most of the half.However two Nenagh goals in the lead up to the break from Paudie Fogarty and Jason Forde undid much of the Kilkenny team’s good work and saw the Tipperary school lead by 2-5 to 1-5 at the interval. On the resumption of play Kilkenny CBS fought back and points from Kevin Kenny and the Kilkenny team’s best forward on the day, Mason Clifford, gave hope but the third Nenagh goal again from Jason Forde maintained the initiative for the Munster side and while three Owen Mc Grath frees kept the CBS in touch Nenagh dominated the second half. A late Niall Mullins goal reduced the deficit to just two points but a fairytale comeback was not to be and the final score was St. Joseph’s CBS Nenagh 3-10 to Kilkenny CBS 2-11.
