Junior A & B County Hurling Championship Finals
First up at the weekend will be the J.J. Kavanagh & Sons Junior B County Hurling Championship Final between Kilmacow & Barrow Rangers in Danesfort on Friday at 6.45 p.m. Barrow Rangers will be fancied to prevail here, having knocked out County & Northern League Winners, O’Loughlin Gaels. They will be confident going into this final with the Northern Championship Title secure after their good win over Black & Whites in the Northern Final. Kilmacow, convincing Southern League & Championship Winners, will be most determined to round off a very successful year with a county championship title and go one better than their county league final appearance earlier in the year. It would be a terrific achievement on their first ever appearance in a County Junior B Hurling Championship Final.

On Sunday Graigue Ballycallan will meet Mullinavat in Hugginstown at 1 p.m. in the J.J. Kavanagh & Sons County Junior A Hurling Championship Final. Graigue Ballycallan have been extremely impressive this year. They have been unbeaten in winning the Northern League & Championship Junior A HurlingTitles as well as the County Junior Hurling League and will carry the favourites tag into this final. Mullinavat have been quite impressive, also, with just one defeat this year to the Carlow Southern Junior A Hurling League Winners, Ballinkillen. Graigue Ballycallan beat this Carlow side in the League Final. This contest has the makings of a terrific final and the winners will certainly have earned their passage into the junior ranks.
