James Mc Grath to Referee All Ireland Final Rplay

By Mary Morgan Tue 18th Sep

Westmeath’s James McGrath has been confirmed as the referee for the GAA Hurling All-Ireland Senior Championship final replay between Galway and Kilkenny on September 30.

James McGrath, who refereed the Leinster final between the sides in July, steps up to the central role once again, with Barry Kelly taking over as linesmen having taken charge of the drawn game on September 9.

The Turin clubman has already taken charge of All-Ireland Minor (2009) and All-Ireland U21 (2010) finals, and will complete the set of the three major finals on Sunday week.

Galway’s Alan Kelly, meanwhile, will take charge of the Minor final replay between Dublin and Tipperary, which throws in at 1.15pm at Croke Park.
