Piltown, defending champions, & Thomastown will meet in the Iverk Produce South Junior Hurling Championship Final in Mullinavat on Saturday at 3.30 p.m. Only a point separated these sides in last year’s quarter final after extra time. It promises to be a great final between two very much in form sides. Though Piltown will be favourites to retain their crown it might be Thomastown’s day to lift the title and mark the 50th anniversary of their win in 1962 when Thomastown (1-8) beat Thomastown Rangers (2-1) in the final.
