Ballyhale Shamrocks, Carrickshock, James Stephens and St. Martin’s take the four quarter final places in the St.Canice’s Credit Union senior hurling championship with the first two contesting an all south League Final and the latter two contesting an all north Shield Final. The first round of the senior championship sees Tullaroan play O’Loughlin Gaels, Fenians play Erin’s Own, Danesfort play Graigue Ballycallan and Dicksboro play Dunnamaggin. The last two games also double as relegation semi-finals.
In the Michael Lyng Motors Intermediate Championship St. Lachtain’s, Clara, St. Patrick’s and the Rower Inistioge take the quarter final slots with the first two named contesting the League final and the other two contesting the Shield final. In the first round of the championship Young Irelands play Mulllinavat , Emeralds play Glenmore, Tullogher Rosbercon play Mooncoin while Conahy Shamrocks meet John Lockes. The last two games double as relegation semi-finals.
The J.J.Kavanagh & Sons Junior Hurling Championship also took a step nearer completion this weekend. O’Loughlin Gaels, Thomastown and Bennettsbridge have secured semi-final places and will be joined by the winner of Barrow Rangers and Lisdowney. The relegation final will see Graiguenamagh meet the Fenians.
