Conahy Shamrocks take U16 C Football title by a single point

In a thrilling Under 16 Roinn C county final played in Jenkinstown on Saturday afternoon last, the Urlingford side had the better side in the opening exchanges, but in a frantic final quarter, Conahy produced the key scores when it mattered most, with two late goals. From there to the end Conahy managed to hold the slim advantage until the final whistle despite some dramatic moments in front of their goal. This left the final score 4-4 to 1-11 in Conahy’s favour of a desperately unlucky Emeralds side. After the game their team captain Joe Mullan received the trophy from Kilkenny Bórd na n-Óg chairman Willie Dempsey.
