Clara Leinster Intermediate Champions
Two Kilkenny Clubs,Clara and Thomastown enjoyed successful weekends in capturing AIB Leinster Club championship titles while it was a case of so near yet so far for Ballyhale Shamrocks as they were defeated by a single point,1-11 to 1-10, in the Senior Club semi-final by Oulart the Ballagh in Wexford Park on Saturday. Clara defeated Oylegate-Glenbrien by 3-20 to 0-5 in the Intermediate decider in Nowlan Park while Thomastown accounted for Rathmolyon by 2-13 to 1-7 in Páirc Tailteann Navan to take the Junior title.
