Rower Inistioge 1-9 Buffers Alley 0-10
The Rower Inistioge had to draw on all their experience to secure the Leinster Intermediate title in a low scoring game in Bellefield on Sunday. They got off to a great start and were 0-2 to 0-0 up after 5 minutes. However Buffers Alley scored the next six points as they dominated exchanges. They were still 3 points ahead at the break 0-8 to 0-5. But a David Lyng goal 5 minutes into the second half was to prove crucial. This pushed the Kilkenny side one point ahead 1-6 to 0-8. The Wexford side were ahead again with 10 minutes remaining 1-6 to 0-10. But a strong finish from the Rower when they hit three unanswered points saw them home and a deserved Leinster title. They now meet Ulster champions Clooney Gaels of Antrim in the All Ireland Semi-Final on weekend 25/26 January.
