Although Kilkenny did not reach the All Ireland this year it was nonetheless a very memorable one for GAA followers. The highlights were probably the National League Final and the Phase Two Qualifier with Tipperary the opposition on both occasions. Capacity crowds of well over 20,000 packed in to Nowlan Park to give us two never to be forgotten days. Add in the excitement of the Dublin games in Portlaoise and the championship games in Thurles versus Waterford and Cork. All of these are captured in the Yearbook which hits the shops this weekend all over Kilkenny. The Yearbook is a comprehensive record of all that happened in Kilkenny GAA at both Club and County level. As usual, it would make an ideal Christmas gift and supporters are urged to grab a copy before supplies run out.
