Despite a sluggish start Kilkenny put in a strong second half performance to see off Waterford in Round 5 of the Allianz Hurling League. A crowd of almost 9,000 saw Kilkenny completely outclass the Déise side after half time a result which saw them finish in second place in Division 1A behind All Ireland Champions Clare. They now take on Wexford in the Quarter-Final in Wexford Park next Sunday with the winners taking on the winners of the Galway v Limerick quarter-final in the semi-final.
