Minor Hurlers Suffer Heavy Defeat to Dublin

Dublin 2-8  Kilkenny 0-3

Kilkenny suffered a heavy defeat to Dublin in the Electric Ireland Leinster Minor Championship at Nowlan Park on Saturday. The game was played in atrocious weather conditions at times but few could have predicted such a poor scoring return from the Kilkenny side. The Dubs were ahead 2-3 to 0-1 ahead at half time and although Kilkenny enjoyed a better share of possesion in the second half they made little inroads on the scoreboard. They now meet Carlow in the quarter-final on May 10th while Dublin and Laois, who had a one point victory over Offaly, move into the semi-final draw. Wexford meet Offaly in the other quarter-final.
