Last Thursday morning a key milestone in the re-roofing of Nowlan Park took place when the 50m steel truss was lifted into place. The work had been delayed due to the replay in the All Ireland but it is now all systems go. However, Co Board Chairman Ned Quinn announced to the October County Board meeting that the work would not be completed in time for the County Final and the old stand side of ground would remained closed for the closing stages of the local championships.
