At a busy County Board meeting on Monday night sponsorship of Kilkenny GAA’s new training facility at Dunmore was announced. MW Hire will sponsor the new facilty for the next 5 years ensuring the running costs of the venue are met. County Board Chairman Ned Quinn expressed the Board’s gratitude to Mattie Walsh, former Fenians and Kilkenny hurler, for his generous contribution. The Centre will be called the MW Hire Sponsored Kilkenny GAA Training Centre. The centre, comprising of two full size pitches – one floodlit, a small stand, dressing rooms and car park, opened for the first time two weeks ago when the senior squad had their first training session of 2015.
