Glanbia launch new 3 year sponsorship deal with Kilkenny hurlers
At a special function in Nowlan Park today, Glanbia launched a new 3 year sponsorship deal with Kilkenny GAA. The sponsorship includes all Kilkenny teams and continues to be performance bonus related. Once again the jersey will carry the Avonmore milk logo while all leisure wear including track suits, polos, windcheaters and kit bags will carry the Glanbia logo.
Speaking at the launch, Brian Phelan, CEO Glanbia Global Ingredients said “Glanbia are delighted to announce our new 3 year sponsorship deal with Kilkenny. Our sponsorship of Kilkenny is one of the longest running GAA partnerships as well as being one of the most successful. The sponsorship is an ideal fit for Glanbia with nutrition at our core and specifically for Ireland’s number 1 milk brand, Avonmore. In particular I want to thank County Board Chairman, Ned Quinn and his fellow County Board officers, Brian Cody and his management team as well as all the players for their help and support over the years to us as team sponsors. I wish them continued success in the coming years”.
Also speaking at the launch, Kilkenny County Board Chairman, Ned Quinn, said “we in Kilkenny GAA are delighted to have a company like Glanbia as our team sponsors. We have an excellent working relationship with them and with the huge costs now involved in running our county teams it would be impossible to prepare them to the level required without the generous support of Glanbia”.
Speaking on behalf of players and management, Brian Cody team manager said, “we are also delighted to have Glanbia on board for another 3 years and thank them for their ongoing support for our team”.
Also at the launch were players, Jackie Tyrell, Paul Murphy, Joe Lyng and team captain Shane Prendergast along with county board officials and team management.
