Kilkenny face Cork in League opener

We extend a warm welcome to all supporters attending Páirc Uí Chaoimh next Saturday. Our advice to all regardless of where you are travelling from is to arrive early and to park and ride or walk to the stadium. 

 

Please note there will be severe restrictions on parking anywhere near the stadium and vehicular access will be extremely limited. However, there is ample parking available in the city centre with shuttle bus service to Páirc Uí Chaoimh.  

 

New Shuttle Bus Service For Opening Allianz League Games in Pairc Ui Chaoimh

Spectator access to Pairc Ui Chaoimh for Cork’s opening National League games will be considerably enhanced this weekend with the introduction of a new dedicated shuttle bus service which will take fans to within a two minute walk of the grounds.

 

Bus Éireann will operate the Shuttle Bus Service from Lapps Quay (opposite City Hall, Cork) to Paírc Uí Chaoimh from 16:30 hours on Saturday 27th January 2018 – for The Allianz League Matches, Cork Vs Tipperary (Football) 5:00pm and Cork Vs Kilkenny (Hurling) 7:00pm.  Standard City Fare / Leap Card and Free Travel Passes will apply to this Shuttle Bus Service.

A limited Shuttle Bus Service will also operate from Paírc Uí Chaoimh (Monahan Road) after the match to City Hall.

Standard bus service No.202 will also run from Parnell Place/Merchants Quay to Ballintemple, adjacent to Páirc Uí Chaoimh. This service will also run from Mahon to Ballintemple.

Fans travelling from Kilkenny or from east Cork, can avail of free parking at Midleton, Little Island, Carrigtwohill and Glounthaune railway stations and can pre-purchase their Rail Tickets from Midleton, Carrigtwohill, Glounthaune or Little Island Stations to Kent Station see www.irishrail.ie or call Customer Contact Centre on   1-850-366222

Turnstiles will open 4pm on Saturday with food and drink kiosks and the restaurant on Premium Level 2 open.

All spectators will be subject to a bag search.  Do not bring backpacks or large bags

Parking

Drivers Take Note:

There will be severe restrictions on vehicular access to the stadium and Garda road blocks will be in operation.

Limited parking is available on the Marquee site which will be open from 3pm and spaces will be allocated on a first come first serve basis.

Other than the Marquee site, parking near the stadium will not be allowed and a tow away policy will operate.

Drivers are advised to park in the city centre and use multi-storey car parks and walk or bus to the stadium. 

Q-Park are offering discounted Match Day parking on Saturday January 27th. Páirc Uí Caoimh patrons can avail of a 

50% discount on 24 hour parking from entry on match day. To avail of this offer supporters should visit http://paircuichaoimh.ie and follow the link to q-park.ie  Parking must be booked before midnight prior to the day of the match at the latest. This offer is valid in Q-Park City Hall, Carroll’s Quay and St. Finbarr’s.
