Poc Fada U-16 Winners 2019 – 1st Michael Kirwan, Glenmore, 2nd Joshua Kennedy, Rower Inistioge, 3rd Oisin Kelly, St Martins.
There was a huge crowd in attendance for the annual Poc Fada competition in Gowran Park Racecourse on Thursday evening. the U-16 competion had a large entry and was won by Michael Kirwan, Glenmore whos father was also a Poc Fada Champion in his day, both at U-16 and Adult. The Adult category was won by Jamie Harkin from Bennettsbridge who was the U-16 winner two years ago and a Kilkenny minor last year. The next round of the Poc Fada will now take place on the Suger Loaf Mountains on July 13th. Best of luck to the lads as they represent Kilkenny on that day.
