Over 50 Senior Citizens visited Nowlan Park to mark World Senior Citizens Day on Wednesday. The day started at 2 pm and following a greeting by Jimmy Walsh, County Chairman, they was a walking tour of Nowlan Park taking in the meeting rooms, photographs, dressing rooms and gym, the pitch and the press box. This was followed by refreshments and a talk on chair based exercises led by Caroline Clifford. This event was organised by the health and well-being committee as a social inclusion initiative and it is the first time for the event to take place. On the day guests were spoken to by Jimmy Walsh, John Coogan, Eoin Larkin and Seamus Reade.
