Following a wonderful run in the AIB Leinster Intermediate football championship, Mullinavat came up just short against Mattock Rangers in the Leinster final on Saturday on a scoreline of 1-14 to 0-11. It was a close contest throughout and a late save by the Rangers goalie ensured that the title remained in Louth. Well done to Mullinavat on an excellent campaign throughout the 2019 season.
In the second JJ Kavanagh & Sons U-21 ‘A’ semi-final Shamrocks ran out 1-18 to 1-13 winners to book a spot in the final once again, the opposition will be the same as last year, O’Loughlin Gaels. In the ‘B’ semi-final Piltown booked their final spot following a 0-13 to 0-10 win over Rower Inistioge, Lisdowney await the winners in the final.
