Shamrocks have nominated Colin Fennelly as the Kilkenny senior hurling captain for the 2020 season, Joey holden has been nominated as vice-captain. The two-time GAA/GPA All-Star made his debut for Kilkenny on the 11 June 2011, and has won 4 Senior inter-county All-Irelands, 4 senior Leinster titles in that time.
