The GAA world was plunged into saddness on Wednesday with the sad passing of Oliver Gough. Oliver, very much a ‘giant of the ash’ was the last person to win an All-Ireland hurling medals with two different counties. Oliver played with Wexford winning two All-Irelands in 1955 and 1956, going on to play with Kilkenny and indeed win a third All-Ireland in 1963. Kilkenny GAA would like to extened our sympathies to Oliver’s family at this time. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a ainm.
