Well done to the Doherty and Ryan families from Thomastown who came up with a novel yet rewarding idea during the current lockdown, all in the name of charity. On noticing their local laneway was busy with walkers they decided to impose a ‘toll’ for walkers and they donated the proceeds to St Columba’s Hospital, Thomastown. Well done folks and it is yet again a wonderful example of some of the great initatives people have deployed to help their community in these unusal times.
