Dicksboro claimed the first bragging rights of the season by beating O’Loughlin Gaels to the league title in penalties following over seventy minutes of action where the sides failed to be seperated. While later on Saturday Clara overcame James Stephens 1-22 to 0-12 to claim the shield final.
Saturday also saw some junior finals played with Tullogher Rosbercon beating Conahy Shamrocks in the JJ Kavanagh & Sons Junior A (Section A) on a scoreline of 2-9 to 0-11, while Lisdowney beat Graigue Ballycallan on a scoreline of 2-12 to 2-5 in the JJ Kavanagh & Sons Junior A.
