Kilkenny have secured their 73rd Leinster title following a 1-25 to 0-19 win over Dublin in Croke Park. Kilkenny led from the start but were pushed all the way by a determined Dublin, weakened by the loss of several players to a COVID scare and the loss of their full back two minutes into the game. Kilkenny now await a team to come through the qualifier route to meet them in an Ireland semi-final in three weeks time, while Dublin must head down the qualifier route to advance.
On a busy week for the inter-county game in Kilkenny the U-20 hurlers face Galway in a Leinster semi-final in Tullamore on Tuesday evening at 7.30pm while the 2021 minors will have a home game against Offaly on Wednesday evening in UPMC Nowlan Park at 7.30pm.
