The Kilkenny minors claimed Leinster title number 59 on Wednesday night with a 1-15 to 2-10 victory over Wexford at Netwatch Cullen Park. The game was a hotly contested affair throughout with Kilkenny leading through the first half but on the cusp of half time Wexford grabbed a late goal to make it all square at half-time. On the restart Wexford got their noses ahead with a second early goal but through hard work and determination Kilkenny regained the lead and despite a siege in front of the Kilkenny goal in the closing minutes, Wexford could not regain the lead they fought so hard for. At full time Kilkenny were Leinster champions at minor once again.
