Kilkenny and Wexford played out a 2-25 apiece draw in the 3rd round of the Leinster GAA Walsh Cup in Chadwick’s Wexford Park on Saturday. Both teams had a good mix of experience and youth on their sides for the fixture. Wexford were ahead for large parts of the game but Kilkenny ground down the Wexford lead and ended up ahead in the dying minutes, but the slimmest of leads was erased when Conor McDonald calmly sealed a draw in the last puck of the game.
Wexford proceed to the Walsh Cup final on scoring difference while Kilkenny will prepare for the Allianz NHL, their first game will be against Antrim in two weeks time.
