Kilkenny come up short against Cork in Allianz NHL Semi-Final

Kilkenny’s journey in the Allianz NHL came to an end in Cork on Saturday evening with a 1-27 to 2-20 loss to Cork.   Kilkenny started the brightest opening up a a six point lead with ten minutes gone.   As they headed to the dressing room at half-time Kilkenny were 2-12 to 0-14 ahead.

In the second half it was a tit for tat battle between both teams but a 63rd minute goal for Cork was a huge score and helped the southerners run out 2-20 to 1-27 winners.   That victory secures a spot in the Allianz league final next week for Cork, meanwhile Kilkenny have Leinster Championship in three weeks time away to Westmeath.
