Saturday was a day of mixed emotion for Kilkenny hurling fans, the day started with a one point loss to Dublin in the Electric Ireland Leinster MHC in UPMC Nowlan Park. The full time score was 2-16 to 3-14. Kilkenny now go through to a Leinster S/F based on a better scoring difference. That game will be in a few weeks time.
In the Leinster senior hurling championship Kilkenny despite a slow start ran out very comfortable winners against Westmeath in TEG Cusack Park. The full time score was 5-23 to 1-19. Next up for Brian Cody’s men is Laois next Saturday evening in UPMC Nowlan Park at 5.30pm. Tickets for this game must be pre-purchased here.
Meanwhile the Kilkenny U-20’s will take on Offaly in a Leinster Quarter Final on Wednesday evening next in UPMC Nowlan Park at 6.15pm. Tickets for this game must be pre-purchased here. This game will also be live streamed on the TG4 YouTube Channel.
