Kilkenny are Leinster U20 Hurling Champions for 2022

Kilkenny are the O’Neills.com Leinster U-20 champions following a 1-13 to 0-15 victory over Wexford in Netwatch Cullen Park, Carlow on Monday night.   Kilkenny started brightly opening up a 0-7 to 0-1 lead after twenty minutes.   But Wexford had that gap narrowed to three points by half time, 0-7 to 0-4.   The second half was a tit for tat battle, a 36 minute goal for Kilkenny proved crucial, but gap was back to a point as the referee blew full time, but just beforehand Wexford had a last minute shot blast wide.

Kilkenny are now through to the All-Ireland final due to be played on May 22nd in FBD Semple Stadium, Thurles at 2pm.   Tickets for the game will be released shortly.
