The Kilkenny minors had their season brought to an abrupt halt in Portlaoise on Saturday following a 0-15 to 1-15 loss to Laois. From the throw-in the home side were ahead and from their until the final whistle Laois held that position. Kilkenny tried and tried to reel in the Laois lead throughout and it was not until the 60th minute when a single point seperated the teams, it looked like a draw was on the cards, but it was not to be, Laois march on to the Leinster final against Offaly next weekend.
