Kilkenny got off to a winning start in the 2023 Walsh Cup under new manager, Derek Lyng, following a 2-19 to 0-21 victory against Offaly. In a spirited game in Callan, goals in each half from Ian Byrne and Tom Phelan helped secure the win.
