Kilkenny’s opening round of the Electric Ireland Leinster MHC resulted in a comprehensive 3-17 to 1-12 victory over Laois in Laois Hire O’Moore Park, Portlaoise on Saturday. Niall Bergin’s charges got off to a slow start but, once they took the lead in the 13th minute, they never looked back and closed out the game comfortably with an 11-point margin.
