Weekend Roundup & Championship Draws


St Canice’s Credit Union Senior Hurling Championship

Wins for O’Loughlin Gaels (over Mullinavat), Bennettsbridge (over Glenmore), James Stephens (over Graigue Ballycallan) and Shamrocks Ballyhale (over Dicksboro) see them advance to the St Canice’s Credit Union SHC semi-finals.  The draw for the semi-finals took place at UPMC Nowlan Park yesterday evening and the semi-finals will take place at UPMC Nowlan Park on the 15th October.

Michael Lyng Motors Hyundai Intermediate Hurling Championship

The Michael Lyng Motors Hyundai Intermediate Hurling Relegation Final between Carrickshock and O’Loughlin Gaels saw Carrickshock emerge victorious and retain their Intermediate status.


JJ Kavanagh & Sons Junior Hurling Championship

In the Premier Junior Championship first round action, Emeralds, Tullogher Rosbercon, St Patrick’s and Piltown advance to the quarter-finals.  In the Junior Section B semi-finals, wins for Dicksboro and James Stephens sets up a repeat of last year’s final.

The draw for the Premier Junior quarter-finals took place at UPMC Nowlan Park on Sunday evening.  The quarter-finals will take place on the 7th & 8th October.
