Kilkenny GAA is saddened to learn of the passing of Ollie O’Neill, Kilkenny GAA referee for over 30 years.

As a young man, Ollie played hurling and football with Barrow Rangers and when his playing days were over he became involved in all aspects of the Club from administration to coaching and selector.

Ollie was a familiar face on pitches around the county as he served as a referee with Kilkenny GAA from the early 1990’s until 2023.

From it’s inception, Ollie was a stalwart of Paulstown Boxing Club, coaching many fighters who competed on the national and international stage.

Kilkenny GAA extends its sympathies to Ollie’s wife Carmel, sons Darren, Aidan and Daniel, brothers Andrew, Jim and Joe, sisters Mary, Bernie, Teresa Margaret and Angela, extended family and friends.

Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.
