Kilkenny came up short against Clare in a closely-contested encounter in the Allianz Hurling League Final in FBD Semple Stadium last Saturday evening.
Both teams rallied at various stages and in the closing minutes, it was still anyone’s game but The Banner County held on to edge out two point winners, on a 3-16 to 1-20 scoreline.
The panel now turns its focus to the Leinster Championship which begins in just under two weeks.
